Amanda Bartels has 15 years of experience working with international development and program management. Before DAI, Amanda worked at different nonprofits, including the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Organization of American States.
Amanda joined DAI in 2019 to support the U.S. Agency for International Development INVEST project. Under INVEST, she oversaw a portfolio of global activities that launched project acceleration and investment facilitation platforms to raise $40 million in El Salvador, completed pre-feasibility studies and design of blended finance model for the development of solar mini-grids in Colombia, facilitated $22 million of investments in Haiti and helped launch new investment vehicles in Central America and the Caribbean.
As a Principal Specialist with the Finance, Investment, and Trade team, Amanda provides technical support and thought partnership to existing projects, and supports DAI’s competitive positioning and business development efforts, with a focus on employing blended finance approaches to unlock development impact.
