Andrew Whiteman is a clean energy specialist with more than a decade of experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of projects to promote energy access and reduce carbon emissions around the globe.
Prior to rejoining DAI in 2024, Andrew worked for The Cadmus Group, leading clean energy and electric vehicle projects on behalf of international donors in Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and Nigeria. Before that, Andrew worked at an electric utility, NextEra Energy, conducting financial analysis and developing software tools to guide utility-scale solar, wind, and storage project development. Andrew first worked for DAI from 2010 to 2015, supporting the operations and management of donor-funded projects in Afghanistan, India, the Philippines, and the South Pacific. Andrew also served as a microfinance fellow for Kiva.org in Cotonou, Benin.
