Joe Phillips is a trade and investment expert with experience implementing international economic development strategies and programs. His expertise spans investment and export promotion strategy, policy, private sector development and internationalization, training delivery, and benchmarking.

Joe has worked on local trade and investment issues across the globe, including for national and regional governments in Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, and the United States. Before joining DAI, he was the U.S. Director and Global Overseas Development Aid Director for OCO Global, a specialist trade and investment consultancy. Within the international development sector, he has worked on behalf of the U.K. Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the U.S. Agency for International Development, the German Development Cooperation, the Inter-American Development Bank, the European Union, Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the World Bank.

Joe is currently the Program Director for the Nepal in Business project, funded by the FCDO.
