Karen Hussmann is a public policy expert with extensive experience in governance, anti-corruption, and global health sector integrity. She previously worked as the director of a European Union (EU)-funded anti-corruption program in Colombia, as a senior expert for the U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre and the EUROsociAL II Programme in Latin America, as well as an accountability expert with the United Nations Development Programme in Afghanistan. Her consultancies with numerous global development agencies focused on program design and evaluations as well as practical guidance on how to address the complex phenomena of corruption, including through sectoral approaches. Karen also worked for many years with Transparency International and recently served on its international board. She currently leads the Partners for Transparency Activity in Colombia working with local partners to promote open government and prevent corruption all the while strengthening trust in the government.
