Robin Young leads dynamic projects designed to crowd in new market actors to accelerate finance. She has served in 11 team leader roles on rural, agricultural, climate, and microfinance projects across four continents, including in Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. Prior to her current role as Chief of Party on the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Equitable Finance Activity in Colombia, she was the Senior Investment Advisor and Climate Finance Lead for Latin America for INVEST, where she oversaw 17 buy-ins valued at $29 million, including the Energy for Peace activity in Colombia, a sustainable landscapes activity in Mexico, and the Expanding Women’s Access to Commercial Finance Grand Challenge.

Robin has 26 years of senior management experience in public and private finance activities funded by USAID, the International Finance Corporation, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, and the U.K. Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. For two decades, she worked in 25 countries managing rural finance and financial inclusion projects globally. As Chief of Party on the Equitable Finance Activity, she applies a systems approach to mobilize finance for businesses and projects. She facilitated Colombian-led co-creations, resulting in 20 partnership agreements with public and private financial institutions.
