Scott Roantree has worked for more than 20 years in international development, holding senior executive roles in the private and public sectors. He established and led Cardno’s offices in Beijing and Jakarta. And he was the executive responsible for business development at Abt Associates during its rapid growth, helping it to become the largest DFAT contractor in the Australian market within three years. From 2018 to 2020, he ran Abt’s London office.

Scott held a Director role in DFAT for three years and was responsible for program effectiveness and risk management across the Indonesia portfolio. He also acted as Team Leader on the successful Basic Education Program, the largest bilateral program between Australia and Indonesia.

From 2020, Scott worked in international mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, and project and blended finance for developing markets, with a focus on facilitating capital flows to contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
